Reverberation

By this point, everyone knows that I love the guys at 9Marks. I buy their books, attend their workshops and conferences, make all new members of our church read 9 Marks of a Healthy Church, and I give away their books to others whenever I can. Here is another 9Marks book I want to recommend. REVERBERATION.

In 2010, Jonathan Leeman (an elder at Capitol Hill Baptist Church in Washington DC, director of communications for 9Marks, and editor of 9Marks eJournal), wrote The Church and the Suprising Offense of God’s Love: Reintroducing the Doctrines of Church Membership and Discipline.

Now, in 2011, Jonathan has just published his newest book, Reverberation.

Reverberation traces the theme of how the Word of God comes to us through preaching, and continues through the life of the church. By focusing on the Word of God, this book is both theological and practical. Reverberation focuses on how the church hears, responds, discusses, implements and is transformed by the Word. There is no high-octane production, no superstar personalities, and no postmodern entreaties. It is just stuff that is really old, really good, and really powerful!

You will want to check out this video with Jonathan.
